inheritance

Hi I have no idea where to start.but I am 52yrsold I have 2 older sisters and a younger brother
my biological dad died in october am not sure of dares I know he never married again and had money in all different places.so who would be entitled to any assests?
my mum had mysekf as piwer of attorney for her should anything hapoen, but last xmas I received a ketter from my mothers solicittor saying I ewas no longer being powerof attorney, now my mothers house is worth about 1/4 million loads of shares and I don't know what else so once again am I entitled to anything or not, xxx
i came into the world with nothing,and guess what? i still have it!!!:p

    If your father left a will (and he was resident in England or Wales), then he could have left his money to anyone he wanted.

    If he didn't leave a will and wasn't married at the time of his death, his children will inherit from him.

    If there is proof that they are his children. Not all 'biological' fathers are named on birth certificates.

    Why would any of this affect who inherits?
