MSN not working properly

I need help and i'm told this is the place to come. I have the msn version 7 and am having serious problems recieving and sending files. IT also blocks me from playing in any of the games that are built into the msn window.
The problems only began when i installed mcafee onto my computer, what haven't i done
As far as i can see all internet programmes have full access

It might be that you have to actually name the website in order for it to work properly? I haven't used McAfee so don't know how it works.

it may be blocking the port you need for that option even though the MSN program is allowed accessEx forum ambassador

At least you can log into MSN7. Mine just crashed as soon as I logged in. Using Trilian Pro now instead.
MSN7 is a right memory hogger compaired with 6.2.0
