you to tell you lot I am happily writing on a rather cheap upgrade
MSI am11 motorboard
AMD athlon5350
4g hyperx 1600 ddr
£83 delivered via amazon
I had a spare 120 SSD drive so I installed it for the customer , he was able to produce a Win10 licence so its running 64 bit win 10.
will not break any records , however its perfectly acceptable
14 watts under load , and about 30w on full throttle , runs COOOOL!!!!!!

Sounds pretty good. 2ghz is a little slow though, personally would prefer a dual core 3ghz AMD, single thread performance on AMD can be a bit slowChanging the world, one sarcastic comment at a time.0

yes so would I , however , how many motherboards can you buy (new) for £26 and CPUs for £36 ?Save a Rachael

you must be trolling.
just because its cheap doesn't make it a bargain or better all the time.
always about the money not about the service eh0 -
what are you on about ??
yes its pathetic next to a i3/i5/i7 or a fast 4 core AMD thing
the reason for the post was to state that new "modern" gear , in order to upgrade a broken box need not cost £150!
motherboard and CPU = £64 !Save a Rachael

I'm a bit confused as to your statement of installing "it for the customer". Is it yours or for someone else?0

Recons are the way to go for cheap IMO. I got an HP i7 recon with a win 7 pro licence for under £200 a couple of months back.0

I spotted a few adverts saying fully reconditioned PCs. err how did you recon a PC?
My guess they installed a fresh copy of windows and it it didnt crash during that its sold as recon?
May get a quick run over with the hoover, the lovely nylon bristle brush attachmentCensorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
