Or even , simpler and just as effective, the kettle (or iron ) test.observe the suspect meter, see the flashes on the red light or the speed the rotating ring is spinning.switch kettle on, flashes should really speed up a lot and slow right down the second the kettle/iron has switched off. a mate on the mobile helps with this.

You really are excelling yourself today - do you have a gas kettle or iron.

Stick to reading them old man!

You really are having a bad day old man, posting irrelevant info and your usual pro smart rant rubbish.

Pot, kettle, black springs to mind.

    :naughty:

Personally I would go into your forum details and edit your silly username..Its not funny and in some ways sexist.Using a slang term for part of the female genitalia as a username is a bit odd......kid. Just a bit of friendly advice. You actually remind me a lot of another user..espresso ! very similar..and he was a real pain.
  • I just want to reassure and say I said to complete the 'test and burn' this way because this will 100% establish the right meter and also this is what the energy supplier will request especially as gas meters dont clock up units like electric meters do. Really leaving the gas on for as long as possible is better.

Also has other occupants maybe using gas at that time also a shorter test can lead to a false result and a longer test will eliminate this.
