Private parking charge - parked at double yellow line outside Tesco Express for 5mins

Hi all,
I parked my car outside tesco express (within a private compound) on the double yellow line as all the bays were full and I had to rush in to get milk for my 2 year old. It took me literally 4 mins to come back to my car. There wasn't any ticket on my windscreen but received a notice in post after a week. This is from PCM UK Ltd. £100 reduced to £60. This is pure extortion. I want to appeal but want to from all you learned guys if I would stand a chance. Thanks much ! Thuska
