Change of address at time of applications?

Hi All,
Just after a bit of advice. I've just moved last month, and I'm just in the process of changing my address details with everyone that requires it (work / driving licence & insurance / car reg / bank account / credit cards / electoral roll / etc.) I didn't do this immediately as I was previously staying at mum's place, which is still close to where I live now, so post ending up there obviously hasn't been an issue....though I understand I need to be honest when it comes to things like car insurance etc. Plus my mum's just applied for the council tax reduction now she's the sole occupier, so don't want to cause her any issues with that due to my laziness!
I'm strongly considering switching my bank account to take advantage of the first direct switch offer for new customers. I also have debt on a 0% BT card that's coming to the end of its interest free period, so I'm hoping to apply for a new one and switch asap (although I have a couple of months to run yet so no major rush).
Onto my question: Should I wait until my address is confirmed as changed on all my other accounts (particularly electoral roll!), before attempting to change my bank and get a new credit card? It's not something I even thought of before....but having just done an 'eligibility check' for 0% BT credit cards, it couldn't give me any results due to having no details of me at my current address...so I'm guessing credit checks done my banks / credit cards will bring up similar results at the mo, and therefore a negative mark against my credit score?
Any advice / comment would be appreciated!

It'll take at least a month to update on your credit report. Electoral roll will take even longer. As you've just moved it'll impact your credit worthiness short term until it's established the credit is Managed at the new address (not fraud).0

I have recently moved as well end of Oct, though I did inform most companies that needed to know ASAP. The electoral roll still hasn't been updated for my new address on the cra though I was supposedly added 1st Dec. But I was able to get three new current accounts last week though I was already a customer at all the establishments which would of probably helped quite a bit. This info is to hopefully give you a little idea of possible timescales.'If you ain't living life on the edge you are taking up too much room'

If you have a good credit history, never defaulting or missing any payments. Changing address does not have any noticeable effect.
It only appears to be a problem if there are other negatives on your credit report.
It can take as long as six months for updates to the electoral role to feed through to the credit reference agencies.0 -
Thanks all for your replies :-)
I'll perhaps give it a month until I have some statements with my new address on them, in case proof of address is required.0
