entitlement

Hi

my son was rushed into hospital 22/12/2015 and had emergency surgery for twisted bowel etc.

According to the consultant he will never be able to do strenuous activity or lifting again neither will he be able to stand for long periods. Also that this will be a re occurring life long problem. He also will have a restrictive diet .

What benefits would he be entitled to and can he be designated disabled?

thanks

Ian

You don't give anything like enough information for anyone to even hazard a guess at a reply.

    How old is he?

If he's been working, will he be able to return to his previous job?

That's for starters, but there's nothing automatic linking a condition to being able to claim a particular benefit and / or being disabled!

    Hi

    thanks for the reply

He has been working as a shelf stacker for ASDA. He cannot for medical reasons return to his existing physical job as he is dysfractic so is unable to read/write with any speed or accuracy so would not be able to work on a till.

Not sure if Asda will be able to find him a job just searching for info

    thanks
