Prime Cars Garage Strike again!

Bought a Seat Leon in June 2015 with new MOT, just few advisory. Within a week I had the car, the battery warning light came on, so took it back and told me there was no problem and the light wasn't on when they had it. Went picked up the car, light on soon as it was on! not long after the car started misfiring and engine light came on, they looked at car and told me it was electrical, so bought brand new coil...got car back...light came on again within a week, took it back, bought all the coils and got charged to fit these ( No receipts from the garage on any of the work done to the car) Got car back...again engine light came on, changed the spark plugs only because I did some researches and apparently it’s a common fault with this small VW engines, again got car back and the light came back on.

I then had because I work in this Trade, got our workshop to look at it…the qualified mechanic did a compression test and looked up the engine with a camera, reporting that there was an excess carbon on cylinder 3 and the compression test showed that there wasn’t enough compression to this, suggesting it may be an issue with the valve seat.

The garage told me they also did a test and looked it up with camera and did not seen any problem….so basically completely fobbing us off and gave car back only to have 2 months down the line an engine light back on

With the same issue before warranty ended…but now they are refusing to put the problem right.

I asked help from CAB and now sent a second letter threatening to take them to Small Claim, after they ignored first letter….whilst all this is going on, I found a few websites where the garage has done this to other customers…even read about them forging tax disks!!! How come Trading Standards have not done anything yet?? How do we stop these people from doing this again? I spent £1,395.00 of my savings to buy this car, it’s caused me so much stress and frustration because they do not admit they sold me a faulty car and never actually fixed it properly!

Anyone can suggest anything else to stop these guys?

So at least 12 years old now, almost 12 years old when purchased.
  • Yes that's right, still, the vehicle has not been repaired properly...and for this is not satisfactory quality nor fit for purpose...

I have issued them with a report of the fault before warranty run out
