Parking Ticket at Newcastle airport long stay
DebJ67
I have just returned from my holidays to find a parking ticket on my car in airport long stay car park. We had pre paid £75 for the 3 weeks parking. The ticket says we were parked in a disabled car area with no permit & not parked in a bay. We noticed no disabled sign & would never park in a disabled space. We parked at the end of the car park behind 2 other cars on an area of spare Tarmac with no markings as we have done in the past when car parks are busy(and never received a ticket) The car caused no obstruction in any way & was not in a disabled space.Do you think it is worth appealing? The ticket was issued by Parking patrol office. Thanks in advance.

Read the Sticky thread for NEWBIES and appeal as KEEPER around day 25 just like the NEWBIES thread tells you to do, using the BPA template letter therein. Was any photographic evidence provided, or just the NTD on the windscreen?
Nothing added, nothing taken away. Just copy an paste. They will probably reject it, most companies do, so then you make a second stage appeal and win at PoPLA.
All acronyms are explained in the NEWBIES thread.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

The car ... was not in a disabled space.
If the space was not marked then they have no case.
IMO it would be safe to ignore, if they took you to court you might be able to claim for all your costs under CPR27.14 (2) (g)You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
unfortunately this cannot go to popla because the UKPPO jumped ship to the IPC 2 months ago (the darkside - they couldnt hack it in the BPA) , so any appeal is via their IAS (WHICH IS A KANGAROO COURT) and blogged about a lot on PARKING PRANKSTERS blogsite
by all means appeal after following the NEWBIES sticky thread, but dont expect a cancellation, in which case this saga could continue for 6 years0 -
They say you did - you say you didn't. Does either party have any photographs?0
