Dual Meter From E-ON
Options
I am part of MSE switch alerts for my Electricity but I hit my switch time a while ago and when I tried to take up one of the other cheaper suppliers (currently with E-ON) I started the process only to get a letter telling me I was on a Duel Meter and that some suppliers don't accept customers on this. I have hit my switch time a few more times since and am very fed up with E-ON. I have made so many complaints to them, I find them rude and unhelpful and at one point their lack of action and unhelpfulness put me in debt so I want to change but how do I find out which suppliers accept duel meter customers? I also don't really understand the duel meter and from the E-ON letter it appears to be something to do with living in a block of flats from the 1990! If anyone can help with either or both of my queries that would be great. With my husband out of work any savings on the main bills would be really appreciated

by "dual " meter are you referring to an eco 7 two rate meter which all suppliers accept or to a twin meter set up on eco 10 which only maybe Eon and Npower can support ?. If the latter, you re trapped with these suppliers unless you get an electrician in to change things to either an eco 7 or a single rate.
Most all electric properties and flats are on the eco 7 set up with night storage heaters or other forms of heating0 -
Hiya Kezziec77 and welcome to the forums,
I'm sorry you've had such a bad experience with us, this isn't something we like to hear.
It depends which sort of meter you have, it may be Economy 10, Heatwise or RHT, these sorts of metering set ups are normally called complex meters.
Do you have an online account? If so it may be good to log in and look at your meter details, look at the tariff that you're on and this should help you to establish your meter type.
We do only offer one tariff for E10, one for RHT etc and we can't change you to one of the others I'm afraid.
The best way to compare with other suppliers is to actually call and talk to them on the phone and get a quote that way. These sorts of tariffs won't be on the comparison sites.
If you can let me know the meter type I can then offer a bit more specific information.
Thank you
