Homebase double glazed windows - who fits them?

Homebase are not known for keen prices. Neither would anyone in the building trade entertain dealing with them - Wickes for convenience but prices are high, and B&q a definite because of Tradepoint. This means Homebase target retail consumers with high prices.
I would not entertain buying replacement windows from Homebase. I also doubt Homebase staff have any technical knowledge of window specification, construction, ironmongery or even the Buildings Regulations.
Equally I doubt Homebase have competent fitters to install the windows - they are probably using sub contractors driven down to the lowest price like some of the national double glazing companies.0 -
I would suggest using a local fitting company that buys its windows (or extrusions, and makes its own windows) from a recognised company (and is preferably approved by that company) such as Rehau.
