Not Parked in a Bay

A ticket was left on the windscreen of my car last week. The reason - Parked beyond the Bay Markings.
The charge is from the council. There are about 8 Disabled Bays and then an area where three or four cars can fit and park causing no obstruction. There is then a sign saying No authorised Parking. After the bays, two other cars had parked and we were the third. Above our car on the wall were dots of adhesive. On the floor, facing down, a sign showing the space was for Blue Badge holders. There are no signs saying Parking must be within the bays.
All cars had a ticket, all cars were displaying a badge. Hubby spoke to one of the other drivers who had concluded the same as us, that the sign had fallen.
We have appealed on these grounds. But I think they will come back saying we were still not in a bay.
Thoughts please.

You need to take this to pepipoo.
This is not really the place for advice on council tickets.0 -
Ok thanks.0

Did you get a photo of the sign on the ground? You should win in the end but expect a rejection at this stage, because they can.

People who post on pepipoo win almost every case. Don't post without pictures of BOTH SIDES of the PCN and a link to the place or photos.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Yes. A photo was taken of the sign. Interestingly the Enforcement Officer did not take a photo of it though.0
