Husbands IVA to finish March!

Hi all, havent been here for quite sometime.
My husbands iva payments finish on March 2016. But on paper his iva finished december 2015. Reduced payments a few years ago meant the payments were extended. So 5 years and 1 year left to have the iva removed from file. Taking us up to dec 2016.
Anyway, we are currently renting and would like to buy a house soon. Is this acheiveable? His salary is 43k now, we have been offered by family a deposit of 50k. What can we do to be able to obtain a mortgage?

Wait till after Dec 2016.
