Ski deals please?

A few days ago I saw a ski deal via icelolly for £250 half board in Soldeu Andorra, leaving from Manchester in late Jan. With passes added it would have been around £500 each.

Now, I realise I've missed that boat but am after advice about whether there are any deals and resorts people would recommend. I've enjoyed skiing in Andorra 3 times, but never anywhere else in Europe. I'd like somewhere with few queues for lifts and nice long runs. Some bars to enjoy a little apres ski, but not too lively.

Any ideas? Or anyway of replicating the deal I saw earlier this week ( which is now around 450 for same hotel and flights)

Thanks in advance

I wouldn't get too bothered about the Icelolly price, it probably never existed, plus they're not the best company in the world to deal with.

£250 for a half board skiing package, I can't see it - SC maybe.
Have a look at Crystal Ski, they often have some decent (real) deals going.
Change is inevitable, except from a vending machine.
  • Yes half board, but possibly just an imaginary tempter. There were a few different agents offering similar. Knowing the hotels and resort that were offered and that it eventually seemed to be provided via ingams and crystal it got me thinking I'd like a week skiing, however my limit is £1k all in for two people, hence why I'm looking for advice on similar priced deals that may be in different countries.

Icelolly and loveholidays are good for finding flight and accommodation combinations, but you just go and book separately elsewhere.

Crystal ski and Neilson ski should have some late deals on their websites for end of January.

Do some thorough searching to get a feel of price and availability.

Ski forum websites and tripadvisor forums have lots of detailed information.

There might be some options from LPL airport aswell.

Some of the cheapest options may have poor flight times and long transfer times to the resort, you might not arrive until the evening on the first day.

I'd second crystal ski. We used them for the first time skiing last year.

We went to Bansko in Bulgaria and it cost us £900 for both of us to go B&B for a week which included flights, transfers, ski pass, ski hire and lessons both morning and afternoon for the week.

We absolutely loved it. Queue for the gondola was no more than 30 mins, the mountain wasn't ridiculously busy and everything was cheap cheap cheap!!
    £2 Savers Club #156! :)
Looking for holiday ideas for 2016. Currently, Isle of Skye in March, Riga in May, Crete in June and Lake District in October. August cruise cancelled, but Baby due September 2016! :j

I'll second the recommendation for Crystal. I'm currently in the Italian Alps, arrived today, on a sub £500 ski trip, that's Half board, flights, ski pass and ski hire. After new year January is a great time to ski, always cheap deals.

Budget Chalet in Tignes which I highly recommend
It's half board and prices at the bottom include ski pass, e.g.Chalet Chardons on 23rd Jan is £306 per person. So you would only have to buy travel which is cheap enough. I get the ski train out there but you can fly or get the coach.

Lucky b****r!:-) The snow has just arrived, thank goodness and I'm driving out for 15 days next week, although I know people out there and am doing it cheaply as a result. Whereabouts exactly?

We in Cervinia. Lots of snow yesterday which made the final few miles of transfer interesting. Snowed all night and most of today. High winds limited full access to all runs today though but I think that should ease off later this week. To be fair I think all areas are getting good dumps of snow to make up for the lack of it before Christmas.
