Robinson Way Debt Collectors

Help required please. I received a letter from Robinson Way before Christmas about a debt I know nothing about so I sent them a Statute Barred letter, they sent a letter back saying the Statute Barred didn't count so I sent them another letter requesting paperwork relating to the debt, then I received a letter back (dated 25th December) saying that the company (HPH Ltd, Ex GE Capital) are requesting £10. Do I pay this or is it for Robinson Way to. Is there a letter I can send as now I don't know where to go from here and I'm now out of date for sending a letter or payment to them? All help required please. Thank you in advance.

If you know knowing about the debt then you should have sent:

No not same debt from 2014. I sent the first letter but not the second one and they sent back saying the company want £10 for me to have the information that I have asked for (proof). I'm not sure if I have to pay this or Robinson Way as they are asking for the monies.0

I do take all advise seriously and in the past have done what people have advices me to do. Thank you to all for advice as it is really needed. Do I now send the second letter as a complaint now?
Thanks for proving me wrong !!!
The £10 fee mentioned would be for a subject access request, which would get you all the information the creditor holds on you.
However, all you are asking for is proof of owning the debt they are chasing.
The "provit" letter gets them to provide you with this, for nothing, as they are obliged to do.

Dont try to adapt the letters to anything, especially complaints do not add things on, just send the letter.
Adding on gives them threads to pull out.I do Contracts, all day every day.0 -
Be wary of Robinson Way, by my personal experience with them they certainly don't abide by the rules. A few years ago I had a debt with Halifax, I rang up Halifax and paid it in full. However, for several months after I was still getting chased by them, even having their bailiffs sent to my house twice. I rang and written to them with proof, from the Halifax, that this particular account was closed but that didn't stop them. Eventually I'd written to the financial ombudsman and sent them a copy. I've not heard from them since.0
