Insurance company gave me £459 voucher instead of replacement

Hi all,

I recently lost my phone and because they didn't have my phone in stock they are giving me a voucher of £459 for use in Argos.. I was wondering what is the best method of turning this into cash?

I see they have visa gift cards of £50, are you able to withdraw the cash from an ATM? Or are they only to be used in shops.

if its an Argos gift card - then u can only use it in Argos

Who has the gift card???? If you were to withdraw then you would need a pin nu,ber?

You should be able to ask the insurance company for cash instead, but this will be a discounted amount.

That would depend on the individual policy. Many will cover replacement of goods, and no cash alternative.

OP, vouchers sell well on ebay.
