What do you think of this 32" LCD TV?
http://www.gsquared.co.uk/cgi-bin/ca000071.cgi?ACTION=SHOWCART
Its a birthday present for my hubby for the bedroom.
He will use it with sky+ (not HD) & occasionally the feed from the sky HD box downstairs, & the odd DVD & PS2 (he wants a PS3, but I'm saying no at the moment, but I may give in one day, who knows, LOL).
It comes with a 3 year warrenty, thats gotta be good.
Thanks in advance.

As for the PS3, I hate the bl**dy things. He gets lost in time when he gets on it. No DIY, no quality time together, nothing, just a zombie playing his little boy games.0 -

How much is it?

£300 & has a 3 year warrenty.
Whats a digi reciever (is it something to do with freeview)?
It will be conected to a sky+ box, so freeview is not needed.0 -

£300 seems reasonable enough. Don't think you will get a major brand at that price.
A digi receiver (freeview) will mean that once the analogue system (curent BBC/ITV/Ch4/Ch5) is switched off in a couple of years, the TV will still be current as it will have an inbuilt tuner to receive free to air channels. If you buy a TV without a digital receiver then you will in future always need a separate tuner, i.e. freeview, sky, virgin etc.

It's cheap and cheerful for the money, worth a purchase with the 3 year warranty http://www.mirai.eu/Uk/Warranty0

lol you referenced the Plasma section, the OP referenced an LCD tv, 2 totally different technologies.
For the OP's benefit, you need to look here: http://www.avforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=433272&highlight=mirai and to save you some searching, the Mirai branded tv's are quite highly regarded, however you need to be slightly careful as some models offer benefits over and above other models, they also release a new model every 3 months or so with better upgrades, contrast ratio etc.
If you enter Mirai into the search box once you're inside the LCD forum, you will see a number of discussions on the positive\nevatives of owning their tv's once compared against the big badge suppliers.
There's also a photo thread here: http://www.avforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=599673&highlight=mirai featuring Mirai amongst other brand tvs that fall into the same price category.
HTHIt could have been worse. At least source code's not combustible, or you can bet somebody at McAfee would have lit it.0 -
