Putting up flush mount but too many wires

hi there.
i am trying to put up a flush led light mount on the ceiling over my dining table since the landlord doesn't have anything there and its too dark when we eat.

the mount i got has ground + black + white wires.

but when i opened the fixture cover in the ceiling, there was a bundle of whites together AND a bundle of greens together AND a single yellow wire. the yellow wire was really deep inside.

so i am confused on what i plug where. since i don't have any electrical tools, i am just switching the mains off and doing work on this.

any tips? i tried attaching photo but it wont let me since i'm a new user.

Are you from USA as that is not UK wiring so can not really help but principles are the same you need to find the neutral and switch live wire and earth which I can not make out from that pic

Canada would depend on your province/municipality as to if you can do any electrical works Last time we sent workers there law requires, in almost all Canadian jurisdictions, that a licensed electrician perform such task? You need to identify live, earth, neutral, switch live feed etc As you can’t do that suggest you get someone who can?

Seeing seeing as this is a UK site I think you might have better luck asking on a Canadian forum.

However one piece of advice which I guess is location agnostic is...if you don't know what you're doing with something as basic as wiring a light fixture then call and electrician!
