Accidently Locked my Ipod

Hi

My sweet little nephew (not!) got his hands on my Ipod and thought it was a good idea to put a password on it.

Short story - he hasn't got a clue what password he set so now I can't use my Ipod.

Is there any simple way of clearing the password?

I did go to a shop and they charge £20 which seems a lot :-(

Many thanks

The point of the password is to be near-impossible to get into the device for a non password holder. And Apple's security is actually pretty decent.

I strongly suspect this'll be an issue of a complete reimage, setting it back to factory defaults, reinstalling all apps, etc. Nt the end of the world, just a bit of a faff. Anything you have that wasn't automagically backed up to a cloud server may be gone, however.

Worse case scenario is the factory reset - it wont be a major problem as I've never downloaded any additional apps and I've only got about 20 albums on the itune account - I've got all the CD's so if they aren't backed up to cloud or whatever - it's not going to be a major issue.

Just glad I don't have to fork out £20 :-)

    Thanks everyone.
