Power tool replacement . Decisions decisions.

Good evening. Im just looking for opinions and suggestions please.

I currently have some ryobi tools but the nicad batteries are shot. I also have some makita batteries but no longer have the drill as it broke.
Id also like to get an impact drill/driver as they are great tools.

So, now i have a decision to make. Do i replace my ryobi batteries which can be expensive as can additional tools.
Or do i replace my makita which again is expensive.
Or do i go for something different like erbauer which has a similar system of batteries fitting several units? These are cheaper and grizzly, parkside and a couple others are all interchangeable.

So ill yhrow it open to you guys and girls to give your opinions please. And if you know of any good deals then please let me know.

Are the Ryobis - the Ryobi one system ? I bought another starter pack when my batteries went, so Ive got the NIMH batteries now.

I like Ryobi one+ tools. They are reasonably cheap and reasonably robust, just right for the serious DIY'er. I would buy an impact driver with a battery or 2 from Ryobi, otherwise you end up making all your other Ryobi tools useless.

You could look at replacing the batteries packs inside the dead Ryobi batteries. There are plenty of guides online and you have nothing to loose.
