OH got his first degree and then joined an accountancy firm on a grad scheme. It took 3 years to qualify ACA. Mainly working and studying in the evening but there were some block release weeks at training schools for the exams.

Your son needs to look at the different types of accountant, as there are a few. OH started in audit and then moved over to industry. He enjoys it, but we both have what you may call not normal degrees, so horses for courses.

Thanks Silvercar.... I have to admit to wanting to know what you 'not normal degrees' lol .... I have images of you pole dancing!!
my son started an accountancy course at college & through that he went for an interview for an apprenticeship at an accountants & has had his exams paid for by the firm :)

Cheery, I had forgot your son was at college doing accountancy. Pleased he is progressing well. Is he still with the horrid girlfriend? x

I've also decided to sell my mx5 :(. She's got to go as much as I love driving her my joints are getting worse as time goes on so its the best thing to do. MOT due next week so I'll have that done then sell :)
