Did your OH train independently or through a training scheme? and how many years does it take? and does he enjoy it?
I have suggested that he applies for the RAF, and goes through the aptitude testing to see what he is offered before making his mind up. OH is not happy with me... but I am assuming he will be offered an analyst/accountant role.
thanks for your help x
OH got his first degree and then joined an accountancy firm on a grad scheme. It took 3 years to qualify ACA. Mainly working and studying in the evening but there were some block release weeks at training schools for the exams.
Your son needs to look at the different types of accountant, as there are a few. OH started in audit and then moved over to industry. He enjoys it, but we both have what you may call not normal degrees, so horses for courses.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
