Good deal on apples in Adli - 6/7/8 Braeburn 59p.
Also 5kg potatoes £2.38 - good sized potatoes compared to T 2.5kg/£1.18 which are tiddly at the moment.

Yes well this was the urgent one, went docs 29th dec:rotfl: Ny sister said if you need a lift just shout, i said oh yea as if you have not got enough on your plate:rotfl: I am hoping i can drive anyway:cool:
My sister rang about half hr ago, Macmillian have been back on the phone, all sorted, a another scan next week and appointment with consultant to discuss
Bubbs, its just very unpleasant! You can have a general to knock you out but both DH and I have had them with just a spray at the back of the throat. Its very uncomfortable having a tube shoved down your throat, makes you heave and it will make your eyes water but its not actually painful. However, they may not want you to drive straight after so you need to check before you go and perhaps arrange transport.ELITE 5:2

I know you mean Aldi.
I know they are good, as I've been getting those items!
I can't even find T Eday in my nearby T any more:(. The Aldi ones - what a surprise! - work out at exactly the same price as T!
I don't know about size - sometimes the smaller potatoes can be better as you're not taking way too much out of the bags and consume them too quickly (thus having to buy again and pay again).
There are now some 5Kg "Wonky" Potatoes in M at £2.
They seem alright to me - maybe a bit green here and there but BB date is nearly a week away - but I'm giving them a go! (Nothing like paying the same £2 and now getting just 5kg as opposed to the 12kg unwashed potatoes that I would have got from M when they were on offer months ago. So, I'm now paying them more:( - and for non-perfect potatoes. I don't like the new 12kg bags - not only have they returned at much more expensive price than they ever were before, but they now have a see-through hole in the bags:( and, I'm sure, they will not last as long as they did before!)
The Wonky carrots - 1.5kg bag for 60p - a bit more expensive than the 29p for 1kg on regular carrots that Lidl was recently - are also still cheaper compared to M's current price on regular 1kg. I don't know whether the "wonky" description in respect of the 1.5kg bag on them is merely another mirage of the supermarkets - they're supposed to be carrots of different shapes and sizes, maybe curved and not straight (who cares about that!?!) but some of the carrots in the bag seem to be quite straight enough to me and seem to me to be exactly the same as normal ones!
This does not seem to be certain areas that are getting the wonky veg in M - I've been in several different Ms and they now all have them (though the Potatoes have only appeared yesterday - or else they were there on Tuesday this week when I wasn't). The Potatoes are due to go onto the list - they work out cheaper than T's regular eday and Aldi's 5kg bag. There are also some "wonky" onions packs - they may go onto the list although it seems to me nothing since has ever approached as good price as the 29p price per kg. we once were able to get on one specific weekend only in Lidl on a weekend special offer.
So, for the sake of 38p, it is non-perfect potatoes (for this time whilst I try them out!). However, it was 38p plus no need to travel specially to Aldi!0 -
