In 1986 I was given an air plant as a Christmas present. You know the ones that are glued to a sea shell.
I don't have house plants & treated it very casually :o:o
Occasionally running it under the cold tap to water it.

As you can see I still have said plant - long ago it out grew the shell & has multiplied & multiplied. I give it's babies away


Every year it has a flower that lasts 24 hours - but this year it had 3 flowers


I would dearly love to smuggle it back to the US & set it free

But not bad for 30 years of tough love :A

That's amazing how long it's lasted, and I have never seen one flower. Shows I should learn not to pamper things, I had one and look after it well but it died after 3 months. X
