It's all nonsense, he couldn't have shopped around much. I found a train ticket from Sheffield to London for £12, a bus to Essex wouldn't be much.0 -
New stock/packaging design appeared in A on Wilkinson shaving items too.

Thanks. Just got the lounge for my May holiday and waiting to hear about the July one.:D Have you tried it in reverse yet? ie the return trip? Could be quite productive.;)
No, as don't actually know when I'm coming home from the trip! However, will be flying home from JFK so likely to be a night flight, so will just be going straight home.I am extremely interested in this! How can you be sure, please, that it is exactly the same? For example, I had a quick look near Manchester airport and found a cheaper room fairly quickly as long as it is non-refundable. But the HE website doesn't mention that so I am now not sure.
It does tend to tell you on the HE page, although you have to look hard sometimes to work it out. You will see that sometimes hotels on there have more than one rate, and it will say non-flexible under one price, so it means the other is flexible. Also be sure to pick one without breakfast, for some reason they don't like this.
Then just make sure the rate on the other website is the same, either non-flexible or flexible. I actually wasn't sure on the website I was comparing against, as it was so much cheaper than HE, so I did a live chat with them to confirm. The live chat box stayed on the screen so was then in my screenshots, so was all very helpful!
I think its better to look at flexible rates, although they are more expensive. When you book the flexible rate on HE, at the basket it gives you the option to add cancellation insurance at £2.49. I think the possibly charge an admin fee to cancel otherwise, so to be safe I added this on, just in case they came back for any reason and denied my claim, I would have then just cancelled the room and only lost £2.49. Non-flexible rates don't allow you to add this insurance from what I can see, so if they did then deny the claim you would be stuck with that hotel room.
Other than that, just make sure things like double bed or twin beds are same, and that check in and check out times are both the same on both websites.0 -
Dentist update.
Go to dentist to sort bit of tooth that had chipped off the massive filled hole from December's root canal.
All good says dentist, it just needs a crown.
Dentist taps it, "this feel fine?"
me "no, it feels tender".
dentist: Oh. that's a shame. Maybe the root is still infected.
more antiobiotics and the chances of the tooth being saved are reduced.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. But the answer that I want to know is whether - obviously they paid £2.89 for their roast potatoes (and £1.50 for the Herby Tomato Veg.) - but did you manage to get back any of the difference for them? Or did they pay so much less on some items that they ended up paying A's shelf price on all the items they bought (including the roast potatoes for £2.89:eek:) and, even if they'd checked the receipt (which they haven't), they'd have no voucher?0
