  • Sorry another repeated question but I can't remember the answer is it the 500g Turkey mince because when I add two or four it says missed offer 2 for £7.
I wasn't that interested in the mince but if I'm going anyway I might as well add it to the order.

    Morning Everyone :)

Postie brings the nicest letters - both DH and I have been invited for a Bowel Scrape Screening :eek:

Glad DH is going first :rotfl:

Actually I'm quite pleased to have the screening as my mum died from undiagnosed bowel cancer :(

    Good morning all...
frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

    2017 toiletries challenge 179 out 145 in ...£18.64 spend
  • Had a look at our mattress to find out why it was getting more uncomfortable. It has become triangular on the edge at my side, it's like a bar is sticking out that should not be there  Looks like we are going to have to accelerate the selections process. We know what bed we want, have got a contact looking to try to get the price down for us on a bed and mattress combined at Bensons, the original quote for what we want was over £1100 . If that price does not go down enough I am going to order a mattress from Tesco (one that we have tried elsewhere but happens to be cheaper in Tesco) which the voucher is still valid :) Especially if our mattress is now collapsing!

It is a pain when they charge you to even try on a dress nowadays, next is the same. Could you order to store then go in and try it on? If you don't like it they do instant refund. Even better buy debenhams cards from Mt T first.
If it is the one you really want then might be only way unless you phone all the stores you could get to and see if they have any stock before travelling.

If it is hopefully the perfect dress the you are going to either travel or bite the bullet and order before a complete sell out.

I've decided that I'm not going for that dress now - there is no guarantee that it is the exact same colour that I need it to be and to be honest, the £120 is better staying in my bank account rather than faffing about buying and returning and waiting forever for the refund :o

There will be a reason that dress isn't for me  x

That is why I never miss any screening appointments. My mum died from breast cancer, she did not go the doctors when she started getting symptoms, the annoying thing was even that long ago she had a very slow growing form and they could have at least given her a few more years :( She died 34 years ago tomorrow.

Very true. I tried a dress on in Romans that I really really really liked online, it looked awful on, walked round the corner and something made me drop into TK Maxx even though I was short of time. Ended up finding a wonderful dress, far more suitable and looked great, for £13 :D

Di, did it say missed offer when you added the other items to your basket?
Yes it should say that for the mince.:)

My mum had quite a few health issues and lots of side effects from many different medications and so any symptoms she had I think were put down to that.
