Mr TS carried on entertaining.

Sitting, hunting for glitches until I feel tired.

I am an insomniac at the moment, all due to dry January!

The pictures of the bottles of wine earlier, almost made me lose the battle:eek:

I won though and am sat here with a lovely mug of Ovaltine:T

Don't lose it squiglet.....I'm with you all the way:). We are a third of the way through:T:T

The problem is I feel that I'm compensating with cakes and sweet stuff.
I opened those cherry brandy things last night and almost scoffed a box:o

    Morning paw sniffers:D

Thank goodness I went to bed early last night ......what with TS's lovely cheeseboard, Sunflowers fizz and Rosie's cherry cobbler....I think I would have put half a stone on.
I hope the night went well TS.....I always wonder at the end of a cheeseboard after it's been in the warm all night whether to sneak it back in the fridge or chuck it out:o

It did go well thanks but one couple were doing dry January and I had not thought about that.

You do know what the answer is about the cheese in this house. :o

Just wondering what DM meant about pickles in little bowls. The pickled onions that bubbs were after were in a bowl, homemade they were too. If he meant the chutneys I never spoon them out. I always think if you do then you shouldn't spoon them back if not all gets eaten as you have exposed to the air and will contaminate what's left in the jar. Funny warmed up cheese doesn't bother me putting back in fridge. :rotfl:

 just noticed on the Chicago Town pepperoni box (left out from last night - not eating pizza for breakfast ) that 1/4 of the pizza is seen as a portion and that has 50% of your daily intake of saturated fat and 33% of salt among the highlights .

To me two slices is just getting started ... :o.

A few weeks ago one of the newspapers gave the tip of using paper towel to soak up some of the fat on pizza before serving as that will cut the fat content by 2/3 IIRC ... we had already been doing this for a while :A.

It does make you think we could do with some healthier food glitches (yes the garden veg was a good start but I paid full price for them compared to most :o).

  • Good morning all, actually dry here :D

FC, big hugs for you xx

Also, I agree that people in uniform should not be able to sidestep the law, but I also think they should not have to think twice before defending themselves and their colleagues. I think it is ridiculous that there is so many people from "the other side" trying to sue our soldiers when they would not have thought twice before shooting and/or torturing them. When you are fighting a war you cannot wait for permission before pulling the trigger.

I am using up annual leave and have 2 actual days left in work but not until 20/21. I don't know why they couldn't just have let me work this Monday and Tuesday and that would have been me done, but I'll get through it.:)
