Mrsmac, I thought mine didn't work at first but had inserted the batteries the same way! The batteries go in opposite directions.
Just a thought before you make a special journey to boots.

I thought mine didn't work at first either. I hadn't taken off the protective plastic cover:o:rotfl:

    good morning all...

I've been MIA for a while and lost the will to even function let alone glitch..so I have not a clue about what's been occuring here other than at least you are all in the same thread as when I left.

Not wishing to dwell on my absence too much but I have recently lost very suddenly someone very close to me and my world will now be a duller place now that this exceptional person is no longer part of it.

Really sorry to hear about your loss. My brother passed away suddenly without any known illness at the age of 48. It's been nearly 4 years but still miss him even though people say time is a healer.

I hope you have the strength and support of your loved ones in this difficult time and may God bless you.

Also thanks to everyone for wishing me good health. I hope to be around for a good while yet..:T

HUGE thanks to ladyshopper just got my email from holidayextras who have given me no 1 lounge at Gatwick for 4 for free. Refund will be made after the date of visit. DH intends to knock the @rse out of it in your honour though he hardly needs encouragement. I hope you got your refund too.

can you please give details as to where you find it cheaper please, many thanks

Hi Classy Chick, there is an offer on tastecard for 2 for 1 entries to airport lounges plus £5 booking charge. Not sure how this works as it also says you cant book in advance. I'm also not sure if this would be accepted by holiday extras.

Sorry got that a bit wrong - this is info on -tastecard (am looking at Gatwick)

Please note: The 2 for 1 offer refers to the entry price to No.1 Gatwick, which is £27.50 per person for up to three hours access before your flight, and includes complimentary food, drink and use of the lounge facilities. This offer is subject to availability and members are able to book in advance at https://www.no1traveller.com/reservations but are subject to a £5 reservation fee. The discount will be given upon entry to the lounge. Please note the lounge has a smart/casual dress code.
