Have they changed their T&Cs? :(I now can't get onto the TBG site - saying 'an error occurred' each time! Obviously don't want to make public their T&Cs. That is not what the T&Cs said - it was an excluded promotion, so T should not be including an excluded promotion. Once again, it seems, T change their T&Cs midway through after people have already begun their acceptance of T's offer. I am not happy. This is what made me dislike them, for several years, after they pulled DTD price check midway through. I'd already bought the items, accepted their terms and they go and unilaterally purport to change them. Typical that the BE veg. price is now being picked up. My approach: SHOP IN ALDI! Get the 49p bags of frozen veg. (much higher weight) there. Do not buy from T if you end up paying more than you expected.

You didn't even get the Oetker pizza for A's price of £1.50 there, but paid £2.50:eek: to T for it... and they charged you £5 for the meal deal!:(

If they start taking account of all their own promotions - including wine that would have 'glitched' before but now won't - then there's now almost no point shopping at T as you can just get the items cheaper at the competitors than T's shelf price (and don't need to buy 10 different items). The only circumstances seem to be: if there are literally NO other stores within reasonable distance; if there is an error in a price being picked up (e.g. 24p Coke Zero packs); if you have a T staff discount (assuming that they don't take that into account); or if you want to collect two pence worth of CC points:( or whatever miniscule and inefficient amount you get for a T shelf price bill of several pounds and still end up paying several pounds in order to get a few pence (so this last option is a no-go). Or if it's 1p items/whoopsies that you can just buy straight and not be doing TBG and having to buy 10 different items. In other words, T's own very good special offers that aren't compared to from elsewhere (and then don't buy that much - i.e. don't need to buy 10 different items from them - just their few loss leaders!).

Otherwise, seems just pointless to me. May as well shop at the competitors if you are not even getting the competitors' cheaper prices at T or, at best, even if a target shop is done, you just end up paying exactly the same price as a competitor (and probably had to buy extra items/T own brands and pay extra for those, beyond what you would have bought from the competitor so even up buying more from T and paying them more - same price as competitor plus cost of non-comparable items). It's doubtless something that attracts the public generally though who think it is good to have what feels like a "discount" (off T's overpriced shelf prices, and that's only matched to cheaper prices at the competitor if everything that compares in the shop is cheaper at that one competitor) and doubtless - the public generally - will go for this, to me, nearly pointless (from our POV) scheme.

The problem is it has got a simple and straight message that is easy to sell (via advertising) that the public generally will understand.

Thanks savvy and underperky for your replies.

As you said 10 + 2 other wines in the deal should have shown on the APG but no idea why the discount didn't come off.

Cost should have been £50 but I got charged £69 so I think it is worth me going back for the £19 refund, not bothered about a gift card.

Regarding the chicken tikka that glitched a while ago when it compared to £1, my kids took a liking to it at the time and now it is costing me a lot more as they want it on their sandwiches all the time.

Is there anything special about the Heinz baby juice (spring water) or - sorry for my ignorance - can you just get any flavoured water for babies?

Heinz Fruity! Spring Water Apple & Blackcurrant 6mth+ (500ml)

    Store_2.15px.png
    £1.49 29.8p / 100ml

      £1.00
    • Store_8.15px.png
      [Strike]£1.44[/Strike]
      £1.00
Seems to me that any own brand flavoured water would be much cheaper - and get somewhat more than 500ml - flavoured water, IMO, is probably something that people shouldn't be giving to babies anyway. Probably just, in effect, sugary water that rots their teeth (once they have developed them) - at any rate, the fruit would contain naturally occurring sugars and, diluting it into water is probably just concentrating it when it is sucked in through a straw or something when consumed, thus making it more contact with teeth and hence loved by natural bacteria in the mouth and plaque and decay causing. I know nothing - I am not a dentist. Probably just my biased view. Anyway, any need for me to add what seem like expensive items to the M list when, maybe, 33p flavoured water from Lidl would do the same? TIA.

Why would you need flavoured water for babies, or young children, anyway? Why not just give them plain water - probably more healthy! Coupled with pieces of fruit and eat mainly the peel (as that is where the nutrients are, the rest is just mainly sugar). Or is this before children have developed teeth and therefore can't eat fruit? In which case, why not any fruit-flavoured water?

    Good morning everyone including Nerfy:D

Very well done bubbs on 1 year no smoking, :j:j give yourself 5 gold stars :T:T
It is an achievement you should be very proud of

My personal opinion, some people may not agree, I think everyone over the age of 21 by law should have to make a will and have it updated every ten years or so, my oh and I have seen first hand the amount of upset/heartbreak and even fighting because a will was not done
We are not married but have been together 17 years this year and we have no children, for me I wanted peace of mind that my family members can not make a claim on my assets, I know they will all crawl out the woodwork and try and make a claim on what my oh and I have worked really hard for, also that we both know our own wishes on how we want to be buried. Like I said for me it is all about peace of mind, we got our wills done by a solicitor as I wanted to make sure it is legally binding. I think at the time it was only about £100 each
Of course my stash and vouchers I leave to the Elite:rotfl::rotfl:
Thanks, i am proud, soon be your turn:p:D
