Thanks its just cause he will be on his own. But he is 32 and married and went around the world on his own aged 19!!

Have to admit to thinking why not take advantage of being out there and have a quick look around?

Unfortunately Uncle Ben's didn't glitch for you - if it did, you were expecting to pay 2 for £2 instore but it would then appear as £1.68 or whatever each as illustrated in the post above yours from LANGO1966 and TBear earlier.

Can those who have had it glitch please confirm if you are in England or Scotland? That has had differences previously so "may" explain it (or not!).

Just checking before jumping in with both feet :D.

As a starter, it would have to be £1.68 (or whatever!) and 2 for £2 instore on the shelves/SEL and for it to show the higher price and multi on your receipt to glitch.

    Thanks

    A vs S JW Sardines
    1x Birds Eye 4 Original Beef Burgers With Onions (227G) £1.45 £1.00
    2x ASDA Grower's Selection Conference Pears (4PK) £3.00 £3.00
    1x ASDA Grower's Selection Conference Pears (600G) £1.00 N/A
0.17x ASDA Loose Banana (order by number of bananas or select kg) (PER KG) £0.11 N/A
    1x ASDA Grower's Selection Chopped Onion (225G) £0.37 N/A
1x John West Sardines in Tomato Sauce (120G) £0.95 £0.70
0.01x ASDA Loose Ginger (Please check weight when added to basket) (PER KG) £0.03 £0.04
1x ASDA Mixed Weight Free Range Eggs (6PK) £0.85 £0.85
    1x Sofcell Toilet Roll (4 PK) £1.00 N/A
1x John West Sardines in Sunflower Oil (120G) £0.95 £0.70
Apg sees 95p each so £1.90 for two compared to £1.40 so return of 50p plus 10% (14p) so 64p return on a £1.50 spend so actually cost 86p for two (43p each) after apg hth

Well done! I thought it was reported earlier that this "shouldn't" glitch as the price updated too early and would have been caught by the APG?

Does this mean where we think the APG is getting the data from/the timing of this may not actually be the case (or is it a glitching glitch :D that has thrown our understanding)?

    Anon

    Here's my take...

If there is a multi online at the time of update then APG shows the multi on APG (even if the multi is lurking in the background a la cheese).

If there is no multi online then APG compares at the instore unit price regardless of whether the online unit price is less/more than what you actually pay.

In the case of the rice - instore is £1.68/2 for £2 but online is a straight £1 each so it compares at the instore unit price and not the online unit price.

It's kind of like the C+C trick but in reverse :rotfl:
Apparently, everybody knows that the bird is [strike]the word[/strike] a moorhen
