"Cleaning Event". Best to wait till after the "Event" is over;):D.:money:

Never buy during the middle of the (then heavy-promoted) Event seems to be the message! So, ignore all their advertising and go for other items instead that they 'don't want' people to buy much and you'll save much more! (Then, once they start up a promotion on something else, obviously r'back not one of our multis;), move onto something else instead. Whatever they are not promoting that is much better comparison to elsewhere:money:.) I don't think we'd buy during the event anyway, and I wouldn't, because the items are bound to be cheaper than elsewhere and therefore lose on the APG.

The prices in my store for the pink domestos said £1 but scanned 50p looks like the event may already be over. ;)

I have a little guessing game for you!!:D

Tomorrow, I have the builders coming in to renovate one of the bedrooms.
In the bedroom there used to be a fireplace, which at some stage has been boxed in.
So, when the builders remove the boxing, what will be behind it?

    1) A hole where the fireplace used to be?
    2) A huge pile of soot and muck and half the chimney stack?:eek:
    3) An original cast iron fireplace, from when the house was built in 1904?:j:j

I am so hoping it is number 3, as they are worth quite alot of money and also two more bedrooms have similar boxed in fireplaces, only somewhat larger.:):)

As soon as the builders remove the boxing tomorrow, I will post a photo of what is there!

    Before removal.

Do you know what, talking of things that say £1 but scanned at 50p, some of the Quality Street Matchmaker's (I know it's a different thing;)) Honeycombe Version scanned at 50p, as I expected, in one of the Sheffield stores yesterday. SEL was marked as £1. So, they are still out there. It might mean that they continue not to clear in some stores due to appearing to be full price - although £1 is a price that the muggles might go for:( (and especially when Matchmakers, which were never 50p, but always £1:(, appear already to have gone up to £2:eek: now). So, people might buy them, thinking they are £1, and be surprised:( when they scan at 50p!

That's if they even notice. I suspect some people - or even many - might not notice on the tins of M cat food. The Chunks in Jelly are 2 for £1.00. Both versions I can find - Beef and Ocean Fish - are going through at 2 for £1.00:(. There are some SELs, in some stores that say 2 for 80p (and some stores even have both 2 for 80p and 2 for £1) - however, I can find nothing that is 2 for 80p:naughty:. The offer label - has same end date 24th January - says "Morrisons Cat Food 400g". I cannot find anything that this relates to. The "Morrisons Chunks in Jelly Cat Food 400g" are 2 for £1.00. "Morrisons Cat Food 400g" labels are being put under or next to Chunks in Jelly. I have been unable to find anything that is straight "Morrisons Cat Food 400g" and I suspect that this does not exist. Just beware of this - the cat food tins are 2 for £1.00 not 2 for 80p. Of course it's possible that some "Morrisons Cat Food 400g", whatever that is, exists in some store that I cannot rule that out nowadays at all but if anyone knows about or finds anything relevant that is 2 for 80p, please let us know!

Meanwhile, returning to the Matchmakers, there is also some Orange version at 50p. I've not seen stock for a few days now, and there was no evidence of Orange in my latest stores, but I cannot rule out that they are available somewhere - and I suspect indeed they are! Possibly, more likely, in a store that has mispriced or has not put any price label up at all. That's not always the case though - I did see some Jelly Babies cartons the other day even in a store that did have 75p showing:huh:. And I saw some yesterday, just along with other cartons (that had higher prices on) along the shelf - empty space for the price where the Jelly Babies are. Again, people may not think to check. They may well stick around in stores which have not put up a price, where people are buying the other, more expensive cartons around them:wall:.

I reckon it will be a late sixties/seventies tiled hearth. :o

Looks likely there is something as the boxing is out from the gap, our fire place has been removed at home and we could have had hole boxed in but it would have been flush to the wall if we did. As it was we decided to keep the space and just block the chimney off.

Just be clear with them if it is option 3 how you want hem to proceed. Normally clearing site is part of the job and you don't want them disposing of anything valuable :).
