    thanks for this warning.
Mostly I do them in my name so I can fend off the attentions of over bearing companies :D
I am only sending her links for firms that look legit but the trouble is your details get passed along the line and then the less legit ones start emailing and ringing etc ...

Annoys me as in a special occasion as a wedding you would need to put correct details eg email/phone and more especially name :eek: You are right though about details getting passed along but it's a chance we have to take to try to get the goodies :)

Please tell me that the pink hair dye did NOT turn you into a ginge :eek: :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

DD1 and BF didn't get the flat a higher offer was accepted. :(

I don't get all this secrecy they have no idea whether they were close or long way off of accepted offer no chance to offer slightly more I know they were stretching it but we may have been able to rally around if not huge amount. Disappointing as won't make things easier for the next time not knowing if they were far out...

Good evening, sorry they missed the flat, this is the way that nearly all sales are conducted in Scotland, the seller doesn't know what each bid is until the close of bidding then the solicitor tells you what each offer is and you decide what to accept, not always the highest as if the buyers are going to be your neighbour you can be fussy, it is a frustrating system but we don't tend to get chains and "gusumped" (sp) :o

It's just like a sealed bid Tiny, you don't ever get told what the other offers are. I'm saddened to hear they weren't lucky, but next time they might find something much better :(

Sometimes these things are meant to be; there may be something better just round the corner.
