Rome - dress code?

The most important thing is that you take really comfortable shoes as walking on the many cobbled streets is hard on the feet.
I went at the end of October a couple of years ago and it was uncomfortably hot.
We also wondered if it was a smart dress code city and so looked on streetview and were reassured that folk there were dressed much the same as here.0 -
Don't worry, there are plenty of tourists and when I went there were plenty of beggars and they weren't exactly smart. Even visiting the religious sites isn't that big a deal as they will give you something that is basically like a big blue j cloth to wear to cover shoulders or low cut tops.Sell £1500
