Possible Identity theft/fraud - what to do?

I didn't know where to post this so it's ended up here.

Starting with almost the first post delivery of 2016 I've started receiving mail addressed to 3 different members of the same family, surname 'Rai', to my house. People by that surname, as far as I am aware, have never lived here. The house was empty for a year before I bought it and I know who owned it before that. In any case, I've owned the house for about 6 months and have never received mail addressed to this family before, it's a new thing.

So far there have been 2 letters from the NHS one addressed to 'A Rai', and one addressed 'To the Parent or Guardian of S Rai'. There have been several from credit card companies addressed to 'Mr Aditya Rai'. As these have all had return addresses on them, I have not opened them. However yesterday a plain envelope arrived addressed to 'Mrs K Rai', with no return address on, so I opened it. It was a thank-you letter from the store manager of the local Tesco branch - thanking his employees for their 'hard work over the holiday season'.

This seems very strange... I have no idea what to do about it though. I'm going to 'Return to Sender' the mail with return addresses on and write a letter to the store manager of Tesco to say his mail was mis-addressed.

Other than that, is there anything else I should do to protect myself?

Certainly not identity theft, as they're not addressed to you.

    Just return to sender.

    No.

There is no evidence of fraud or identity theft. Just return the mail marked 'Not Known at This Address' and stop worrying over nothing.
