Depends on the LTV.
Even if true, the person in question clearly doesn't have much of a deposit, so their LTV will be high...Get to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs

I.e. doesn't need to know the value of the collateral they are lending against.
Yes I know the lender, however your sarcastic know it all attitude has made me not want to bother telling you. It's quite obvious that you think you know more than me so we'll leave it there.
Thanks.0 -

Thanks.
Big Sammy down the kneebreakers perhaps.
Can't imagine any regulated lender who would lend money without knowing if it is worth it, and not sure I would want anything to do with them if they did.0 -
Yes, it had the obligatory lender valuation done, but we didn't go ahead with any further surveys.

Where did I say the lender would lend money without knowing if it was worth it??
What I actually said was it depended on the LTV whether they required a basic PV, however as tara said most FTB's would probably need one.0 -
Genuinely would like to know the lender that would give a mortgage without a basic valuation, if the LTV is low. How would they know the LTV is low?
