To Kill a Mockingbird was first. Many of the responses mentioned The Book Thief. I wept all through the last few chapters.
The first book to make me cry was The Grapes of Wrath. I've had pupils crying at the end of Of a Mice and Men.
I've just finished A Tale of Two Cities. Another leaving me choked!
I remember reading Mitch Albom's - "The Five People You Meet in Heaven" one Christmas day, I spent the afternoon curled up and weeping on the sofa!
I have just finished reading "A Life Discarded" by Alexander Masters. It follows Alexanders journey to find the author of 148 diaries found in a skip in 2001.
I thoroughly enjoyed it and I am looking forward to reading more of his work.Value of prizes 2010 - 2017: £8374 Wins 2022: Magic set
