Consumer rights act query

I understand that the Consumer Rights Act 2015 applies to goods and services purchased from 1st October 2015 but what about pre-ordering a phone at the end of September that wasn't delivered until after the release date in October?
I'm currently going through a repair process and I want to know if I have a right to a full refund as per the Consumer Rights Act if they don't repair it first time or if it's still covered by the sales of goods act due to the date I placed the order?
Hope someone can help.

I.e. if you paid by card, when was the money taken from the card?
That may not be important, as if you bought online it is likely that the contract was formed at the despatch of the goods.
Did you buy online?
If so, who from? Have a read of their T&Cs to try and work out when the contract was formed.0 -

Offer + acceptance = contract formation.
What date was the contract formed? It should tell you in the T&C's what constitutes acceptance/when a contract is formed. You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0
