Switching current accounts - what if you've got loans with your bank?

Hi all, Happy New Year! This may be a stupid question but can you transfer your current account if you have outstanding loans with your bank?

Similarly, you can get a loan from a bank that you don't have a current account with.0 -
Yes, I knew it worked the other way around, ie getting loans from banks you don't bank with, but I wondered if they would allow you to move your current account, given that they then would no longer have access to your money should you default on paying0

I switched from Natwest to Lloyds Bank in 2014 despite having a Loan w/NatWest.
Never caused me any problems.It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.0
