Applying for multiple products on the same day with the same bank

I want to apply for a number of products through my online banking account. These products will have a credit check and a 'hard' search on the credit report, as these will be credit related products.

What is the chance of a decline, as they might think it's suspicious to submit applications one after the other on the same day? Don't want a cifas markers in case they think it's fraud. Or should I space my applications (one this month, others in the next few months) incase of declines, etc...?

Comments

  • I applied for two yesterday (TSB and NatWest) both accepted, both with small overdraft facitlities.

Sorry just realised you said same bank, but still two hard searches on same day.
  • Have applied for current accounts at the same bank within minutes .. no problems. I have to add that I never request an overdraft.

What is the chance of a decline?

OP: "Hello Mr Banker, I'd like a mortgage to buy a mansion, a loan to buy a Rolls Royce, and a credit card with a high enough limit to support my extravagant lifestyle"

    Banker: "<expletive deleted>"

The point is that you need to be more specific in your question.

I don't see what everyone's obsession is with a credit score.

Have you ever been refused before? Have you got big debts? Have you got a job with regular income?

Just apply, what's the worst that can happen?

Well I just applied for and was accepted for 2 current accounts with santander in the past 10 minutes (on top of 2 that I already have with them). Will probably do another couple a bit later. Don't see the problem?

Does anybody know if you apply for a Barclays 2nd bank account they credit check you. Website suggests they do but this thread seems to support they don't as long as no overdraft is asked for.

As this thread makes no mention of Barclays I'm not sure how you have come to that conclusion.
