Small Claims Court

Hi,

I know that the rules for the small claims court have changed (April 2013) so that now you can claim up to £10K (previously 5K). Does anyone know if the £10K applies for cases brought to the Small Clams Court now, even if the disputed invoice is over £5K but relates to the period prior to April 2013, (but still within the 6 year limitation period).

Your help would be most appreciated.

As long as the case itself has not previously been before the court then you'll be entitle to claim up to 10K.

It's not stipulated anywhere that 10K can only be claimed for cases after the new regulations came into effect.
