Hello.
I am after some advice for a new hi fi that will be replacing a Sony RX70 all in one system that he has had for 15 years.
That system had a 3 cd disc compartment, twin tape deck, FM/AM radio, RCA inputs and I think 55w RMS per speaker. The cd drawer doesn't open like it should and needs pushing in to close it and the tape chews up a few tapes also.
What he is after is,
1. DAB radio
2. CD player
3. RCA input
4. Aux/line in for mp3 player
5. Bluetooth he has some music on his tablet and mobile he can use.
6. High watt sound output.
He has loads of old cassettes and he can play them on a Walkman through the 3.5mm line in on his Sony so if he can still do that on a new one then great.
He also has a turntable connected to the Sony through a pre amp and I has a usb turntable he bought for transferring vinyl to cd/mp3 but that is time consuming as he has over 200 lp's.
As for the high watt output last night I put his Wharfdale DAB micro system in the same room as the Sony and the DAB output is 5 watt per speaker on full was load but tinny compared to the Sony that was only on a quarter of full output and he said the said it has to be near the same watt output as what he has now.
I have seen this http://www.amazon.co.uk/Pioneer-X-HM21DAB-K-Receiver-System-Playback-Black/dp/B00DP01LG4/ref=pd_sim_sbs_23_3?ie=UTF8&dpID=31%2BExpumdFL&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL160_SR160%2C160_&refRID=0A10PR3FVVKT8CA8S7H4
but it only has 30 watt output and has all the options he needs.
Any help/advice welcome.
Thanks.

No idea, but that Pioneer don't have Bluetooth
I have been looking at so many systems but this is the link
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Pioneer-X-HM21BTD-K-Bluetooth-Micro-System/dp/B00JRWTQRU/ref=cm_cd_al_qh_dp_t
Also he has a budget of £200 if that helps.0 -
What about this one? It's under budget, more output than the pioneer and a bit slicker looking too

He has a Wharfedale NE-3272 which came from Argos. That one is in the conservatory which he uses mostly in the warmer months. It only plays cd's and DAB/fm radio and has no inputs for his other items.
ringo_24601 I have seen these Sony systems and other Sony ones but I was reading some of the reviews on Amazon I think and people said they had problems playing files from usb as the usb had to be a Sony one or something like that.0 -
Denon D-M40DAB or Marantz M-CR611 Melody Media Network CD Receiver with DAB/DAB+ are the leading all-in-one systems today.0

But they are something like£200-400 without speaker, which would probably end up overbudget...0 -
Who uses cassettes now.
I think you should buy AV amp. Denon, Onkyo or Pioneer best ones.
Hook them up with your computer and you have everything.0
