Firstdirect Bank Charges In 1999

Hi,
This is a query about Firstdirect bank charges from 1999!
I seem to think that when i opened my firstdirect bank account back in 1999 that it should have cost me £10 a month. I also seem to think that there was a stipulation that if i took out a credit card with them and kept a balance on it that they would wave the £10 a month fee.
Can anyone confirm this? I am only asking as i can not find my paperwork and am unsure if i have made this up! It has been puzzling me for some time now!
Thanks in advance Gary

I don't have any FD T&Cs going back to 1999 but as far as I can remember, they always had the exemption clause they still have at present.0

They haven't always had an account charge, it was introduced about ten years ago, -maybe not even that long. There certainly wasn't one back in 1999.0

As EathBoy suggests the £10 monthly charge and the exclusions were introduced in February 2007.
