Apple I pad hardware fail

Have an I pad air just over two years old had a 'hardware fail' according to Apple Store and because it's out of warranty. Can I claim under the consumer goods act due to having paid £400. For something to fail hardware wise. They have offered to replace at a cost of £220 with only 90days warranty , I feel that a product that has been looked after impeccably. Shouldn't break hardware wise . Any advice great,y received
Thanks

Where did you buy it from? Your rights lie with the seller.0

You can claim for up to 6 years, however you would then need to prove the fault was inherent when you bought it as you have had it over 6 months. After two years I cannot see an independent store putting their neck on the line to say that against an Apple product, and they've clearly ran their own tests.
Personally I'd either get the replacement or pay for a new tablet to get a new warranty period. Depending on the type you have it could be not a huge deal more than the £220.
Also the poll? Apple, are they good or bad? Cannot be answered with yes or no...0 -
I'm confused about the poll...
Good or bad?
Yes
No
Does "Yes" mean that Apple is either "good" or "bad"?
Does "No" mean that Apple is neither "good" nor "bad" (ie Average)?0 -
2 years is good going with Apple hardware.0
