Closing a limited co and VAT de-registration

Is this easy to do or do I need an accountant to do it. There has only been a little bit of activity and the figures would only take 2 mins to do.

re closing a Ltd Co - probably best go down a 652A strike off route. Ensure you really don't want the Co any more. Can't have traded for over 3 months. £10 filing fee.

Vat deregistration - contact your VAT office and ask them for a dereg form and a final VAT return. Simple enough to complete (ok I know I'm an accountant who specializes in insolvency but they are easy to do!).

Not sure if the provider is also a co-director, if so may not be that simple, will need to go through the paperwork that I have.
