Microsoft Windows Family - HELP please

My daughter has just purchased a Nokia Lumia 535 and is trying to install Instagram/Whatsapp etc. It's come up with a message saying - 'my family needs to be set up etc etc'

I've added her to our 'family' on Microsoft and allowed access to websites etc. I've refreshed and everything looks fine.

She still can't download anything on her phone???

I've searched and searched online and the only thing I could see that might help is to change her DOB to over 18 so that I wouldn't have to do the family thing - this doesn't seem to have made any difference either.

Can someone please help????

From what you say, it sound like you do want control over what she looks at/purchases and you want to use My Family for Windows Phone.

You can set whether or not a child can download apps and games from the Windows Phone Store and which game ratings you want the child to be able to view and download.

On your computer, go to account.microsoft.com/family and sign in with the Microsoft account you've set up as a parent account.

Select your child's account from the list.

Go to the Purchase & spending page, then use the control for Windows Phone 8 purchases.

Thanks I have spoken but I've done all that (I've accepted the 'free and paid' option for apps and still nothing!

Hmm, is she defintely logging into the phone using the account you set-up under Family?

If she's using an account of her own, she'll need to change the DOB.
