Following the #COP21, the environment and circular economy are on everybody's lips. And not before time. With landfills worryingly full, companies need to think more consciously about their impact on the environment.
But what if companies could divert their surplus stock from landfill and do social good at the same time? There are so many options for businesses to do just that, it's a wonder more aren't getting involved. In Kind Direct redistributes all different kinds of products from companies to charities, social enterprises and not-for-profits. Companies give us their surplus stock and we arrange all the logistics necessary to distribute those products to people in need. Likewise, Fareshare offer a similar service with food waste products. Charity Choice and Freecycle also offer platforms for offering unwanted products and giving them to people in need. Another favourite of ours is Technology Trust. They have helped us out enormously by offering charity software donations to charities, not-for-profits and social enterprises.
There are so many organisations that facilitate product giving for social good, why are more companies not getting involved?
If you're a charity, not-for-profit or social enterprise then do check out any of the above listed organisations. They really do help to save the pennies so you can focus your efforts and resources on what matter most- the people you serve.
