I simply put that the charger failed within a few weeks and they refused a refund. It was eBay's handling of the situation that made me lose my faith in that site. They are not interested in helping you. And I did follow the official procedure. eBay's guidelines state you must try to resolve an issue directly with a seller before anything more can be done, which I did, then asked eBay for help and they weren't interested.0

It was probably the refused a refund part that got it removed.
Ebay are heavily in favour of the buyer. The procedure they have set up practically guarantees you a refund for such a situation as this.
You opened a case for not as described, correct?0 -
I find it ridiculous that you are not allowed to put the fact that the seller doesn't give refunds when their merchandise breaks.
I was eventually told by eBay that because it had just gone over the 30 day mark since I placed the order that they would not be refunding my money. Apparently a lifespan of one month for electrical appliances is reasonable in eBay's eyes.0 -

A seller can't just completely refuse though because they have a system to prevent them doing that. They may so no when contacted, but opening a case forces their hand. So you saying it's refused technically wouldn't be the sellers fault as you can do something to get the refund. Not saying it's right because they did refuse and you shouldn't have to force it, but that is most likely the reason.
You still haven't answered the question though. Did you open a case for not as described? Or did you contact ebay directly for answers and then it went over the 30 days?
How long ago did all this happen? Was it within the last 6 months?0 -
I contacted eBay to ask why the feedback was removed. They wouldn't tell me. So I asked regarding opening a case and was just told it had gone over 14 days so the seller doesn't have to refund me and it had also gone over 30 days so eBay wouldn't look at it. I ordered the item on 29/11/15 and I've just contacted them yesterday.0

The 14 days is for a buyer changing their mind, which only applies to business sellers and wasn't the case.
As you haven't opened an ebay case and it is within 6 months you can still open a Paypal case. I'd suggest doing that.
You may have to return the item at your own cost (ebay would have allowed for you to get a postage label, but sadly Paypal don't). However, at least you should get a refund so it's better than nothing.0 -
I still tried to open a case on eBay but the website just automatically told me I wasn't eligible and wouldn't let me proceed further.
I have now attempted to get the refund through PayPal. I will most likely get it but I am more concerned that this seller is still being permitted to sell hundreds of these dangerous items with eBay seemingly willing to turn a blind eye and even actively wishing to cover up its negative feedback. I believe I shall contact Trading Standards next to see if they are willing to prevent it in any way.0 -

Their feedback rating is less than 99%, although their stars are high are most of the feedback is good which would suggest that most people have't experienced the same issue you have.
You may have just had a really bad one!
Still, you can contact Trading Standards. You could also report the seller to ebay.
If the items are really bad it'll soon show on their feedback/star ratings and that will have a massive impact on their account to the point where they soon wouldn't be able to sell.0 -
Well I did notice a tactic that they used. As soon as I received the item I received a message from them asking for positive feedback, clearly they try to get the feedback before their items break as they know they will.
Two of their negative reviews have been for the same product I bought so it does seem to be consistent poor quality. I have also reported the seller to eBay for selling suspected counterfeit products but I don't believe anything will come from it. eBay's customer service team were the worst I've ever come across and just kept trying to fob me off and not wanting to do anything.0 -
Lots of sellers have automatic messages that thank you for buying and to leave feedback.
You really should put the correct sellers details though as another seller may have a similar name and take offense at your comments.
Only buy mains chargers from proper shops, even then they sometimes have dud ones.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
