Hi,
I use the email feature on my HTC 310, but is there a way to incorporate an email contacts list to call up so I don't have to remember the email address of all my contacts (like windows live mail).
Mike.

What's "email contacts list"?
AFAIK there is only one contacts list in Android that can include several emails and phone numbers for each contact, not to mention postal addresses and other details.
If you have two or more entries for the same person, try 'Find duplicates' option in you online google account > contacts and merge them.0 -
Thanks grumbler, the 'email contacts list' is 'contacts' in windows live mail.
Seems complicated to me, all I want to do is select from a list of email addresses in the phone like I do in windows live mail on my PC.

I'd be surprised if there isn't an app that will do what you want, although as I don't email much from my phone it's not something I've ever investigated. Maybe have a browse in the Play Store to see what's available.0

How do you access your windows live mail? A browser or an app?
I think if it's an app, the 'email contacts' either get automatically added to your contacts list or can be synchronised or exported.0 -
Its via an app - I have to enter the recipients email address each time! Can I export my 'contacts' in windows live mail to my phone?0

My wife uses gmail app for her hotmail, and when entering the address there is a button in the top bar for accessing contacts list. I guess it's the same in other aps, including outlook one.
Try tapping 'three dots' when entering the email address:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.office.outlook&hl=en_GB
Alternatively, try accessing your contacts list, e.g. via phone app, then tap&hold the contact if it's in the list.0 -
So...
You're using the native email app that came pre-installed on your Android device, yes?
And your requirement is to be able to use the contact details that are currently stored in your Windows Live contacts with the native email app?
What I would do as a solution to that requirement is to add the Windows account to the Android device.
On your Android device, go to Settings, then Accounts, then Add account, then select Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync and follow the on-screen steps.
This will then enable you to integrate your Windows account with the email app.0 -
Malmo, Thanks, Answer to your questions - yes, yes. I will try your suggestion.

Malmo, Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync is not listed?

Is there any option in the account list that contains the word "Exchange"? If so, that should be the one.0
