Hi

Not sure if this is the correct place for this, but here goes...

My father-in-law bought a pair of trainers online. The delivered items did not match what was ordered.

We've tried to contact the company to get them swapped, however they are non-responsive.

In this situation are we allowed to submit 'charge back'?

I'm not sure if a credit or debit card was used, the cost of the trainers was £44.

Yes, chargeback is the same for both debit and credit cards.
However, you may have problems with posting the item back and proving this:

Credit or Debit card will make no difference in this instance as it is below the minimum for section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974 to apply.

Contact the bank, explain that what was ordered is not what was received and ask for a chargeback. You should crack on with this as there is a time limit.
