Question about ESTA and travel

Just a quick question that I hope someone can help with.
Last September I did a group ESTA application for our family (DH and me, and our 3 kids) and it was approved. We haven't actually got around to booking our family holiday, but since then DD college has said she will have a trip to New York in March and all the students need a visa/ESTA.
I assume she will be covered by the group application I did, but what bit does she need to print out and take to college (and possibly with her on the trip) - is it the group ID number? Also although I filled in the forms individually for each person, the application as a whole is in my name - will that be a problem if she is travelling without us?

You don't need to take a print out, their system should have it logged; that said it's no great hassle to print it and take it along just in case.Of all the things I'm not very good at, living in the real world is perhaps the most outstanding0

You don't a print out, it's an electronic visa and should be logged on her passporttravelover0

I read it as being the college that have asked for a printout just so they can check that all participants in the trip are going to be allowed on the plane?dandy-candy wrote: »I assume she will be covered by the group application I did, but what bit does she need to print out and take to college (and possibly with her on the trip)
Imagine arriving at the airport with a coachload of excited teenagers and discovering there's one whose parents haven't read the paperwork properly.....Everything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the endQuidquid Latine dictum sit altum videtur0
